Over his career, he has worked with many adults and young people displaying a wide range of mental health difficulties including depression, low mood, anxiety, loss/bereavement, employment stress, sexual abuse, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, physical health difficulties and long term illness conditions, working in both GP surgeries and then in the NHS Wellbeing service for 6 years.

Barry says ‘The way I work, is to listen and help you explore, and share your feelings, emotions and difficulties. Working together without fear of judgement in an empathic, congruent and non judgemental way, developing a therapeutic relationship in a safe and confidential setting’.

I am not here to tell you what to do but to discuss the options available. I am here to talk about the difficult steps with you, not to take them for you. I am here to help you discover your own strengths. I am here to help you feel empowered and to facilitate change within you’.
